Plain yogurt and vanilla extract. That and the banana should overpower any plain yogurt flavor -- just like the vanilla does in the processed vanilla yogurt you buy.
1 banana and 1 cup of low-fat milk and it does come out thick. All right. I shall try it. I had not because I couldn't envision it coming out thick. Thank you. Also, have you ever tried it with juices instead of milk?
I saw one yesterday that used cottage cheese. Only problem with it for me was that it used pomegranate juice. I do not care for pomegranate. But I might use red tart cherry juice. Then the constant banana of course, cottage cheese and one other ingredient that I forget and don't want to walk to the kitchen to be reminded.
If you make Greek yogurt out of plain yogurt (strain it overnight in a coffee filter placed in a metal sieve) it’s much less acidic. It may be more palatable for you. Of course, you can buy Greek yogurt, but it’s more expensive than plain.
