This works well with any kind of white fish fillet and tastes so good!

3-4 grated cloves of garlic (not chopped, not minced, GRATED!)
1/4 to 1/2 stick of unsalted butter (cut into little peices)
white wine
zest of 1-2 lemons
fresh lemon juice
fresh ground pepper / salt
garlic powder
1/2 c bread crumbs
1 can crab meat

1.) take the crab meat and combine with bread crumbs and butter in a bowl. Just eyeball it and make a good little mixture to lay ontop of the fish. set aside.

2.) take a deep casserole dish and spread little dabs of butter on the bottom of the dish. Add a couple splashes of white wine and squeeze lemon juice into the dish too. Sprinkle in some lemon zest, garlic, and pepper.

3.) place the fish fillet ontop of everything in the casserole dish. repeat step 2 but ONTOP of the fish.

4.) put crab mix ontop of fish. Coat generously!

Bake in over for 25-30 min at 350 degrees.

enjoy!

This sounds really good but that's a lot more butter than I would normally use on anything! I think I will try it but modify it a bit.

How large a fish fillet are we talking? How much white wine? How much lemon juice?

Just realized that most ingredients have no amounts listed ...

sorry for not including the specifics but I never measure anything and just eyeball it because I make it so often!

I use that amount of butter because I usually can fit 3-4 fillets in a deep glass baking dish. I have no idea the actual size of a fillet, but it looks similar to chicken parm cutlets.. The butter I use is organic and unsalted so atleast its somewhat healthy =) Coconut oil may work well as a substitute but I don't think the flavor would be the same at all.

I use about 1/4c white wine and the juice (and zest) of 2 lemons.

I have some fish to use up tonight. i am going to try it. I can see this recipe not having measurements as it's to taste. I just picked up some lump crab and going to use that along with fresh breadcrumbs from a day old french bread I had. I might add a touch of Slap ya Mama in place of garlic powder as I like a bit of spice with seafood.

Will post results after I attempt it.
