She said she bought the above post which referenced the dry soup or boullion that is high in sodium. Or does those come in low sodium? That's why I asked.
LOL - I think you and I are on the same side regarding the broth issue. I assumed the post was referencing the lower sodium canned, or boxed, broth. I've used those on several occasions, when homemade just wasn't an option.

I was actually surprised it can be used as a way to diet. Never thought of that before. I just know the infamous cabbage soup one.
If I don't have any homemade stock left and need it, I use this:
Beef/Chicken or vegetable stock can be used as a drink just like coffee or tea, just heat it up put it in a mug and feel the warmth.
One of my favorites is to put an OXO cube in a mug of hot water, just the thing for a winter meal accompaniment.
There's zero nutritional value in broth and it's loaded with sodium unless you get a low-sodium version, so it's an absolute nonstarter for a meal replacement.
I sip it when I've been sick, am fasting, or just want a hot liquid, but it's no way, no how a soup or a meal unless you add some pasta, vegetables, etc.

Like momtothree stated - we're talking about real cooking here, not making a soup or broth from a store-bought packet.
Yep, the home made stuff is awesome. The "New" thing is bone soup. Cracks me up. I love when the younger generation discovers stuff like this.
