Do you mean eat broth by itself? I do when I am sick and don't want anything to eat but have to.

I like miso soup, which is pretty much broth.

my mum sometimes prepares the "minestrina", that it's broth with very little pasta inside. I've always thought that this kind of food should be eaten just by really sick people. Instead she was used to eat that for dinner when she was a child practically every day.

I've done it from time to time, but I certainly prefer some stuff in the broth.

I have drank hot chicken broth but not beef. Sometimes I add cooked rice to it or cooked tortellini.

Yes, and often! I just made vegetable broth last week, as we like that this time of year. I reserve the carrots, and add some small pasta such as rosamarina. It goes down easy!

The next time you cook a turkey simmer the turkey neck in water with a half stalk of celery and a small carrot, both minced. Cook it well, then strain. You'll drink the pot on the spot.

I'm aware that we're supposed to save the stock from the neck for gravy, but you can always buy extra necks to make more of this extraordinarily rich stock.

That's about the only time I do it, too. I like something in my soup.
