Found some store made bangers at Fresh Market and served them with crashed/smashed potatoes and bisto. (not a huge fan of mashed taters..)

The sausages were so savory and delish. I thought for some reason they were going to be cooked pale small links kind of like the bavarian white sausages. These looked a lot like fresh bratwurst. Cooked them in a touch of oil and water to ensure they cooked all the way and they got a golden brown all over. They were really good.

Mmmm... sounds good. I think next time I make the bangers, I'll have to cook them the way you did.

Bangers and mash for me. We have an old world butcher shop about a block away. The proprietor is German, but he does a lot of sausages from all different traditions, made fresh. He does bangers, but isn't a big fan himself, so he teases me when I buy them. I also like his Swedish potato sausage and Lithuanian desros.

Hmmm, those Swedish potato sausages sound interesting. I might have to try!

Tomorrow I'm going into Philadelphia and debating either going to the Irish Pub or the German Restaurant. I love both places. Maybe I'll go to the German restaurant since I haven't been there in 2.5 years.
