This apple dip is quite delish & a real kid pleaser recipe!





Apple Dip

1 (8 oz.) pkg. cream cheese, softened
1 cup brown sugar
1 tsp. vanilla extract
3 tablespoons creamy peanut butter
Sliced apples: such as golden delicious & granny smith
Walnuts finely chopped (optional)

In a bowl mix together, the cream cheese, brown sugar and vanilla.

Stir in the peanut butter; mix well.

Serve dip immediately, or chill in the refrigerator to have later.

Serve dip with the sliced apples and chopped walnuts.

Serves 4 - 6

I promise I am not "that" mom, but does it really need that much sugar out of curiosity? I usually just serve plain PB with apples but may try a version of this for a change. Plus it adds protein for my vegetarian kid. Thanks for the idea!

Personally, I don't think it's too much sugar.
Trust me, just make as written, you won't be disappointed.
This is one of those dips which can be quite addictive.

I remember when the store-bought version of this was all the rage. They sold a sugar-free version that was perfectly tasty (I'm usually pretty picky about sugar substitutes). I wonder how they made it...

This looks delicious though!

I'd swap the sugar for honey and cut it down a bit, plus add cinnamon. Sounds wonderful. Might even make a batch up tonight.

I used 1/4 cup of local honey and upped the pb, it was really good. Cinnamon would be an excellent choice too, will add that next time.
