How about Jonny Marzetti or American Chop Suey?

Just put together some cooked noodles, tomatoes and cooked chopped meat in a baking dish and bake. Add anything else you like to it, cheese, garlic, onion, mushrooms.......

Pretty sure the ones named Marzetti do! Or should I say the one whose last names end in a vowel.

Americans eat lots and lots of garlic. I had leftover tzatziki I made for breakfast (Americans also eat lots and lots of other countries cuisine) and all I could taste all morning was garlic. When I was pregnant I had an aversion to the smell of garlic. My poor husband was beside himself trying to cook without it. Finally I would just leave during the cooking of dinner. I had no problem eating it though, thank goodness!

Anyway American food is very regional. I think seafood minimally fussed over because I grew up in New England. Clam chowder, steamers, broiled or baked haddock, boiled cold water lobsters, grilled mussels, things like that.

American? A good cheeseburger with lettuce, tomato, mayo and bacon with Poutine

A good T-bone steak with baked or mashed potatoes and grilled vegetables

Cesar salad is a MUST on a menu, most often offered with grilled chicken or shrimp

A seafood meal with scallops, shrimp combined with linguini and Alfredo sauce

Grilled pork chops

Perogies and cabbage rolls served with Italian style sausage.

Apple, cherry, blueberry pie with ice cream. The crust must have lard in it to be flaky, NOT shortening.

^^^ This. Probably ice cream too. Not fried ice cream never even heard of that. Or...fried cheese???
Some of the things previously mentioned are just regional, not nation-wide.

I'd repeat a few that have already been mentioned like pot roast, steak, hamburgers/cheeseburgers, blt sandwiches.

Anything with corn--like corn on the cob, corn bread, Indian pudding.
Apple pie, chocolate cake.
