Am I wasting soup brooth? (chicken, celery, carrots, onions)

I boil and eat onions carrots & garlic almost every day (sometimes with celery) and throw the tasty water away.

If I saved it for soup stock, how long will it last in the frig ?

Why not freeze the broth to be used later for soups and stews?

Or cook the vegies in boxed chicken stock and have chicken consumme (sp) ready all the time in the freezer. Bet the vegies would taste better, too.
