They say that there is no such thing as a stupid question so here goes one. I never really ate much avocado. Last time was maybe 20 years ago. So I tried one last night. It was ripe so it spread nice and easy but it had no taste. Flat. Am I supposed to put something on it to make it tasty? What do you eat with it to make it taste good?

I dice them and place them in salads, cut them and place them on Ritz crackers for a snack, and use thin sliced avocados in turkey, chicken breast, or roast beef sandwiches.
I like avocado on a slice of quality sourdough toast with a little mayo on the toast. I add very little salt to anything I eat, and the mayo adds a lot to the flavor. Good and quick.
I can eat an avocado right out of the skin with a spoon. I usually add a touch of salt. They have a mild, creamy taste.
Sliced up on a plate with a small drizzle of Ranch dressing is good too.
