Try the no bake peanut butter pie on Allrecipes. My f-i-l used to make that all the time, and I love it. I also love peanut butter blossoms. I make them in a mini muffin pan. It's just a peanut butter cookie with a Hershey's Kiss stuck into it when it's still warm. They're cute too .

My husband LOVES these......

Peanut Butter Temptations
*
1/2 cup butter
1/2 cup white sugar
1/2 cup packed brown sugar
1/2 cup peanut butter
1 egg
1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract
1 1/4 cups all-purpose flour
3/4 teaspoon baking soda
1/2 teaspoon salt
36 miniature chocolate covered peanut butter cups, [frozen and] unwrapped

1.Preheat oven to 375 degrees F (190 degrees C).
2.In a medium bowl, cream together the brown sugar, white sugar and butter. Stir in the peanut butter, then the egg and vanilla. Sift together the flour, baking soda and salt, stir into the peanut butter mixture until the dough comes together. Shape into 1 inch balls and place them into the cups of unprepared mini muffin pans.
3.Bake for 8 to 10 minutes in the preheated oven. As soon as the cookies come out of the oven, press a mini chocolate covered peanut butter cup down into the center of each cookie until only the top is showing. Allow the cookies to cool completely before removing from their pans.

We love peanut butter desserts. Here are 2 peanut butter dessert that I make a lot. The second one is not pure peanut butter...it has brownies...but its still awesome. I sometimes change it up the first recipe by adding some reeses peanut butter cups on top for garnish or syrup. Both recipes are rich.

Nutter Butter Frozen Peanut Butter Pie

  • Crust
    • 24 Nutter Butter sandwich cookies
    • 5 tablespoons butter, melted
    Filling
    • 1 (8 ounce) packages cream cheese, softened
    • 1 cup creamy peanut butter
    • 3/4 cup sugar
    • 1 tablespoon vanilla
    • 1 (8 ounce) containers Cool Whip, thawed, divided
Directions
  1. To make crust*, crush the cookies in a zipper style plastic bag with a rolling pin, or in a food processor.
  2. Mix cookie crumbs with butter.
  3. Press into bottom and sides of a 9 inch pie plate.
  4. Mix cream cheese, peanut butter, sugar and vanilla with electric mixer on medium speed until well blended.
  5. Gently stir in 1 1/2 cups whipped topping.
  6. Spoon into crust.
  7. Freeze 4 hours or overnight until firm.
  8. Let stand 1/2 hour or until pie can be cut.
  9. Garnish with remaining whipped topping and additional cookies if desired.
  10. Special extra: Just before serving, drizzle chocolate flavored syrup on plates.
  11. *Ifdesired, omit Nutter Butter cookie crust and use an oreo crust instead

Peanut Butter Brownie Trifle Recipe

1 fudge brownie mix (13-inch x 9-inch pan size)

  • 1 package (10 ounces) peanut butter chips
  • 2 packages (13 ounces each) miniature peanut butter cups
  • 4 cups cold 2% milk
  • 2 packages (5.1 ounces each) instant vanilla pudding mix
  • 1 cup creamy peanut butter
  • 4 teaspoons vanilla extract
  • 3 cartons (8 ounces each) frozen whipped topping, thawed
Directions
  • 1. Preheat oven to 350°. Prepare brownie batter according to package directions; stir in peanut butter chips. Bake in a greased 13x9-in. baking pan 20-25 minutes or until a toothpick inserted near the center comes out with moist crumbs (do not overbake). Cool on a wire rack; cut into 3/4-in. pieces.
  • 2. Cut peanut butter cups in half; set aside 1/3 cup for garnish. In a large bowl, whisk milk and pudding mixes for 2 minutes (mixture will be thick). Add peanut butter and vanilla; mix well. Fold in 1-1/2 cartons whipped topping.
  • 3. Place a third of the brownies in a 5-qt. glass bowl; top with a third of the remaining peanut butter cups. Spoon a third of the pudding mixture over the top. Repeat layers twice. Cover with remaining whipped topping; garnish with reserved peanut butter cups. Refrigerate until chilled. Yield: 20 servings (1 cup each).

Thanks! But, there were no oats in them and they were slightly more cake-like than chewy or 50/50 maybe. No icing, except a dusting of powdered sugar. School probably used a pretty simple recipe.
