I bet an apple would go great in the salad.

Default Broccoli salad

I'm eating this right now - yummy!!

4 Cups Broccoli florets - raw
4 cups Cauliflower florets - rat
1/4 cup sunflower seeds
8 oz dried cranberries
red onion to taste

dressing

1/2 cup plain yogurt
1/2 cup lite mayo
1/4 cup honey
1 to 2 teaspoons dried mustard
salt and pepper to taste.

place first 5 ingredients in bowl, mix together dressing - pour over and stir til coated. I let it marinate in the refrigerator for an hour or two then stir again and taste. Add salt and pepper if needed,

store covered -in fridge.

I made a huge mistake one time. Didn't have mayo and had everything in the bowl for this. ..added greek yogurt.
Yuck.

Well, I got inspired after reading all these, so decided to see what I had in the fridge for lunch today.
I came up with this, and I think it tasted pretty good:

raw broccoli florets
shredded carrots
didn't have cranberries so substituted raisins
bit of chopped red onion
chopped pecans

Dressing:
1/3 cup mayo, thinned with a TB or two of milk
1 teaspoon honey

It tasted great! (I think)
