I tried marinating boneless chicken breasts in yogurt once. It was a waste of good yogurt.
Try the buttermilk instead.

Because I make dark meat for my lunch. I want something I can cook for both of us to share. Indian chefs use yogurt on poultry so I don't see why it wouldn't work. I've had tandoor style chicken that was very good but my wife is not into the seasonings of Indian cuisine. She does like Greek style so I'm thinking lemon juice, yogurt and fresh oregano. Oh yeah! and lots of garlic.

One of my favorites! Tandoori, that is. I always use thick yogurt, but do loosen it up with a couple tablespoons orange juice. This is one instance where I mix the spices in with the marinade.
