I finally did. Don't know why I never did before. I don't like to cook that much. French onion soup. So easy and yummy!

I finally made chili a couple of years ago. When I was younger, I had my first bowl and didn't like it. Now that my taste buds have matured, along with my interest in cooking and being on Pinterest, there were some really good looking chili recipes that piqued my interest. Made my first batch and it was delicious.

I am soon going to make an early bird caprese salad. I have basil growing on my windowsill, and I will buy Mozzarella balls and cherry tomatoes. I’ll throw in a little chopped salami, as well. I’ll dress it with a littke EVOO and Italian white vinegar, salt and fresh ground pepper.

Haven’t made a caprese since last summer, and I am longing for one now.

Do you make it with balsamic reduction? Or just EVOO and white vinegar? I'm a HUGE fan of caprese salad, but I need the balsamic on it.

Try a splash of sherry in it.

Most of the recipes I saw called for it. I didn't have any and didn't buy any just for this. I did add a lot of herbs (but dried not fresh) some of them suggested. It turned out as good as any I've had I fancy restaurants.

White will do or a tiny bit of a mellow vinegar.

I finally did spaghetti carbonara last year, after only having it in restaurants.

Delicious, but unlikely to be commonly in the rotation.

Made a tomato pie today, in the oven now. Usually wait til summer tomatoes are available but found some tomatoes that were sweet enough to use...haven't made since last yr.
