I've never heard of using vinegar or ketchup in deviled eggs, so it was very surprising to me to see a few people mention that.

I don't put mustard in mine. I use mayo, curry powder and salt. That's it. On top, I use a dash of ground cayenne pepper instead of paprika.

My uncle makes his with sweet relish and for me, they are way too sweet. Yuk!

Ooh...like the curry idea a lot.
I've done them with mayo and a bit of pesto...that's tasty.

My friend who hates mustard uses mayo and a little vinegar...

If you take the hot sauce you would have used, add it to a bloody mary and give people enough of them, no one will care about the missing eggs

I like Deviled eggs, but 90% of recipes have mustard as an ingredient. I happen to not like mustard. This is a good question, how to substitute mustard for something else.

I always use Colemans dry mustard.
Where I'm from we never put mustard in mayonnaise based salads or on burgers.

A little dab of Colemans gives a bit of flavor without having the mustard tang.
It's hot so use it sparingly, it just adds something without the heat.

I cant even explain it myself.. People do notice if that little dash isn't there..
