Yes, burdell, I remember those lunch sandwiches from Mom. The ends had to be placed underneath or the sandwich had the tendency to unwrap itself!

Wonder if anyone ever used rubber bands or tape to keep the sandwich shut. Hah. No wonder so many of our moms washed plastic bags.


Yeah, they did have that mystic ability to unwrap themselves, tasted darn good sitting streamside too!

I'm another who was late to discover parchment paper, only about 5 years ago, but can't live without it now. I use it several times a week when roasting salmon or vegetables. Makes for easy clean-up. I still use a lot of waxed paper, but not for anything involving heat.

I always have a good size square of it in my ironing center, to clean the iron. The next question will be what's an iron!!
