I like Bailey’s Irish Cream over ice, or a cold Widmer Brothers Hefeweizen with a slice of lemon.

On a hot afternoon, I like an iced coffee with cream and a shot of splenda sweetened coffee syrup. I make decaf around lunchtime, and I often use leftover coffee from that brew. There is just enough pick me up in a glass of cold decaf coffee.

Otherwise, I love a cold can of diet Coke after yard work on a warm day. Hold the cold can against my cheek or neck before cracking it open.

I do make the occasional iced tea.

To me the most refreshing drink is "lemonade", but all natural and pretty dilute - I take a half-gallon of spring water and add that to a glass pitcher with a whole lemon sliced thinly and just let it steep in the fridge for at least 12 hours... a lot of the nicest flavors come not from the flesh and juice of the lemon, but from the lemon oils seeping out of the peel - these oils aren't sour and have yummy lemon flavor.

Oh, I forgot about iced coffee. I love it too, with a splash of cream and a bit of Equal. Otherwise, we go through a lot of Crystal Lite peach iced tea.

I already posted about the Palomas we like.

Over a tall glass with ice:
1/4 c. Tequila
Juice of 1/2 lime
1/4 c. Grapefruit juice
Top with 1/2 c. Grapefruit soda

Very plain, but I drink water all the time and like to flavor it with a little peach mango snaple.

Iced tea for me. Not too sweet.

If I'm entertaining my women friends sometimes I make sandia agua fresca. Watermelon water. That is very thirst quenching and a little special for people in Minnesota. I use watermelon, a little sugar or not, dash of salt, water and lemon or lime juice. Buzz it in the blender.

I decorate the glass with a few chunks of seedless watermelon on a long pick. You can toss in a few blue or blackberries before serving also for color contrast.

I mostly like water in summer, but cannot resist homemade raspberry syrup, lemon juice and water mixed and chilled in the fridge.A wonderful childhood memory.Otherwise perfect on a hot summer day is a cucumber spritzer, any homemade fruit lemonade without sugar,mint/lime drink, ice coffee is always a winner on a mid afternoon.
