I double this recipe and bake it in a 9x13. Only thing I do differently is I take about 1 cup of raisins, pour the rum over them and heat them in the microwave for about 45 seconds before starting the recipe and then add them all in when I add the rum.
applesauce! Just peel, cut out the bruises, chop, and boil down with a little water, sugar, lemon juice, a tiny pinch of salt, and cinnamon if you roll that way.

Applesauce. I don’t peel, or at least I don’t completely peel. I make mine in the Instant Pot, but I’ve made plenty in a slow cooker. Add a little lemon juice, and sugar is optional.

4 apples - peeled, cored and chopped
1/2 tsp ground cinnamon
1/2 tsp ground nutmeg
1/2 cup walnuts
1/2 cup pecans
1/2 cup brown sugar
1/2 cup all-purpose flour
4 tablespoons butter, diced
1 pinch salt
Preheat oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C).
Place apples in a pie pan and dust with cinnamon and nutmeg. Cover with foil and bake for 20 minutes.
In a food processor chop nuts with a few short pulses. Pour in sugar and flour and process to combine. Add butter and salt and process until mixture resembles coarse meal. Sprinkle topping over apples.
Bake in preheated oven for 30 minutes, or until golden brown.
