Yep. I have a plate lid designed for microwave use, so I put it on a plate, put the lid on, and zap for about 30 second.

Again, ask at the deli to see the actual loaf. A brisket looks a lot different than a formed loaf and what you get in a deli is almost always brisket.

It may not be legal to sell formed loaf in New Jersey. I'm kidding, but you can get at least decent corned beef in most areas. Cold corned beef seems a bit hard and dry. Warm it up a bit and it is transformed.
