I couldn't find any other 35 calorie mayo, other than Shoprite's. Good to know Best Foods makes one.

If I was really wanting tuna without added fat, I'd just add chopped green olives or pickles (dill or sweet, your choice), salt and pepper, and eat as is.
Yes. The fat in mayo smooths the tuna taste. The only other alternative I can think of is a soft cooked egg. But there is fat in egg yolk.

You can buy reduced fat mayo. We use it exclusively at our house. It tastes fine. You could reduce the amount normally used and have a less fatty product. If you put eggs in your tuna salad, be advised that egg yolks have fat.

We've used mustard at times. A light Dijon, whipped in a little olive oil and it was fine. A nice departure from mayo.

We've also used a curry paste before too- that is pretty good as well. Much better with chicken salad though.

Fat free cream cheese.
I melt the cheese a bit so it's easy to fold In.
Add pickles and finely diced onions.
It's very creamy and tasty.

Drain the tuna or start with water-packed. Drain either.

Lemon, herbs, a small amount of Veganaise or low-fat mayo. Or Greek yogurt with a sprinkle of garlic.

Or a TB of low-fat mayo mixed with Hidden Valley ranch dressing or spice.

I've used balsamic vinegar. It's a totally different type of tuna salad but I love it with chopped tomatoes mixed in.

My late wife used to use veganaise. If it got at all old... gag me with a stick instead. Almost as bad as the fake vegan cheese. We returned to using regular mayo.

Tuna sandwich spread - can o' tuna, mayo, lemon juice, curry powder, onion powder, bit o' salt and pepper, done. Add celery bits or tomato slices. Go light on the mayo if it is a problem.

The whole "low fat" movement is, IMO, misguided. The gums and fake substitutes keep the desire, thwart the extinguishing response, and mess up the body sensations. In rare instances, such as liver disease and gallstones, I can understand the desire, but a daily dose of milk thistle and moderation in trigger foods can resolve most of that issue.

I use yogurt instead of sour cream. Not sure how well that will work for tuna. Sometimes I just do a sandwich with smashed tuna, avocado slices, tomato, parsley, salt and pepper and squeeze lemon juice.

A "small" spoons of Thousand Island Anything Dressing will perk any salad up.

Playing with no fat alternatives - (for me no animal fat dropped my cholesterol 25 points in a few months) -
fat/oils are a must, of course.

Plain yogurt, balsamic vinegar or lemon, Spike, add celery, onions, relish of your choice, dash of horseradish.
No fat, spreadable, flavor.
+Olives, yum.
