I do - mostly jams and preserves. I did some blood orange marmalade earlier this year that was killer.

Have you tried this combination of berries before? I'd think the green gooseberry would help offset the sweetness but I don't want it bitter either.

Try a small batch and see how it turns out! I love experimenting with different fruit mixtures.

I've never eaten a gooseberry in my life, LOL.

I haven't canned a blessed jar yet this summer!

When the peaches get ripe (and cheap!), I'll make some peach pie filling and peach salsa. I was so disappointed in my peach jam (tasted moldy, even though the peaches were fresh and I added a ton of lemon juice) last summer that I'm afraid to make more.

I should have enough jalapenos to can, sliced, in a week or so. The tomatoes are looking quite unhealthy.

We did 16 pints of salsa last Friday, that makes over 40 pints this year. Obviously we like salsa. We also did about 10 quarts of tomatoes. We did have to buy the tomatoes but I might have enough at the end of the summer to make some tomato sauce. I will also do some 7 fruit marmalade and maybe some pickles if I can find any pickling cukes at the farmers market. That will be all this summer. We already did a few jars of beets and a couple kinds of salsa plus strawberry jam and blackberry jam. I also froze blueberries and green beans.

OK, so a friend of mine just gave me a boatload (well, probably about two quarts) of hot peppers -- serrano, jalapeno, banana -- that she received in her weekly CSA box.

Guess who's making hot pepper relish this weekend?

sounds awesome...

and Jasmin, I too am thinking long, cold winter. Certainly if the summer is any indication, but I can't complain to much, we have had a couple of pretty mild winters the past few years. The biggest problem this year was what winter we got came so late, it threw everything off.
