Thanks for this! Definitely different from those I've tried with the coffee and liquor and IIRC heavier on the dates from what I've made previously, I'll probably give it a try over the weekend.

This is pretty good I used the least amount of sugar called for, I think I'll make again and add some date paste both for a little more sweetness as well as moisture. It definitely improved after a night wrapped in the fridge.

Glad it worked out for you! That site is awesome. I've also made the bread recipes in my bread machine with great success. (Even though some call for hand kneading but I'm too lazy and let the machine do it all.)
