I'm not a big fan of fresh fruits (more a fan of salty fatty stuff) but I make an exception for fruits pies, especially cherry or blueberry.

As for pecan pie, i believe it could become a small religion, in the south anyway. God help us when mom or an aunt, or, better yet, grandma, gets out the pecan pie fixings.

Am not a big fan of sweet potato pie, but I know a bbq restaurant of all places (Soulman's bbq in DFW area) that has the best darn sweet potato pie my mouth has ever encountered!

My fave is strawberry rhubarb, but I also make a sweet potato mixed with pecan pie.

My favorites are coconut cream, my own apple pie, home made blueberry pie. Can't stand apple pie made with the canned apples. THey have to be thinly sliced and cooked thru - not mushy, but cooked.

My first MIL was the world's best pie maker. She made a raisin/walnut pie to die for. Can't stand mince meat, but FIL (current one) loves it, so I always made it for him when the holidays came around. We're too far away now, but it seems funny not to make a mince meat pie.

If you love pumpkin... Oh my gravy!... you need to make this... mmm mmm good...

EASY CREAM CHEESE PUMPKIN PIE
1 small can (15oz) pumpkin pie filling
1 pkg soft (8oz) Philly cream cheese
1 large tub Cool Whip
1 teaspoon pumpkin pie spice
2 deep 9" graham cracker pie crusts
(wafer or ginger snap may be substituted)
cinnamon (to sprinkle on top)
Ready Whip (for serving)

Combine pumpkin, cream cheese, and spice in mixer until well blended. Fold into Cool Whip gently, so that it stays fluffy.
Spoon into pie shells. Crust should be well filled. Cover and refrigerate for 1 hour. Tp serve, top with Ready Whip and a light sprinkling of cinnamon for the perfect finishing touch.

I have a 150 ft fence line COVERED in wild blackberry vines. To pick them I get stuck with thorns, attacked by wasps and put up with 100 degree heat. But my wifes cobblers ARE SO DELICIOUS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Just came in with a box of banana cream pudding. That will be the first test. I also came in with a box of no bake cheese cake mix. This is getting into making a real mess or maybe something real good. It better be edible or I'll never here the end on it. For awhile anyway. I have a box of orange jello that I'm going to kick up a notch with some Tang too.
