I cook turkey bacon in a microwave oven, covering it with a paper plate to avoid splattering.

For times, I play it by ear, so to speak. Cook a few minutes, check it. Cook some more, if needed. Depends on the wattage.

I always cook bacon in the oven sprinkled with a little brown sugar 400 degrees on a rack in a cookie sheet.

I did this in my oven last month at 350, there was so much grease and smoke I had to clean the oven, so I will not be trying it again. Plus I had just cleaned my oven after the Holiday dinners so the oven was clean when I put the bacon in.

It does sound like it can get messy cooking in the oven....I usually cook in microwave for about 3-4 minutes, times vary depending on microwave

I agree kelsie. The oven thing provides a great taste and you can cook more easily when you have guests, but it just makes such a mess. Is everyone else using a special cover on the bacon or what? I even tried paper towels..... I won't even GO into how THAT didn't work. LOL!

the navy cooks do that too. once you know, it totally makes sense because they have to cook a ton of it every morning.
