I would like to make a meal or side dish for my friend and her family of 4 to give her for Ramadan when they break the fast one night soon.

I'd prefer a dessert or vegetarian dish as they only buy special meat. I've googled this and got a lot of funky recipes with items I do not have (certain spices or flavorings) or can't find.

Any ideas?
