I got what appears to be a pretty easy recipe for the sauce itself. For the veggies I am thinking of using zucchini and a green pepper, and throwing in some pineapple. A couple of procedural questions, first--should I sautee the pineapple with the zucc and green pepper, or leave it cold and just toss on top at the end. Second question is, once I have the veggies prepared and the sauce done, should I add the veggies to the sauce, or serve in seperate dishes? Third question, can you think of any other veggies you would add in, maybe a carrot? Those interested this is the recipe for the sauce to feed 4---

3 Tbsp Sugar
1 Tbsp+1 tsp White vinegar
2 Tbsp + 2 tsp water
1 Tbsp soy sauce
3/4 tsp ketchup
1 and 1/2 tsp cornstarch

I'll let ya know how it turns out

I've warmed, but not cooked, the pineapple when I've added it to my Oriental dishes.

Other vegetable suggestions -- Onions or yellow squash or mushroom buttons or red pepper or yellow pepper or snow peas or green beans or ... :-)
Also cashews or peanuts or almonds!

It turned out AWESOME!!! Biggest problem was the sauce called to make 4 servings...umm no. I noticed how little it was so I doubled the ingredents and it was barely enough for two people. But Gandalara, thanks, I used squash, pepper and green bean with the zucc, carrots and pineapple. I then garnished with a few sliced almonds. It really did turn out great.

You're welcome.

I'll never forget my old Home-Ec teacher saying "colorful food is more appetizing!!!" (exclamation points hers, she was very excitable)

(but I can't remember much of anything else she said )

Oh - almost forgot.
Next time you make it, make lots and lots of sauce.
Freeze what you don't use.
