We love love love cheesecake! The brownies look good too.

I spent YEARS looking for the "perfect" brownie recipe. We like chewy brownies. I must've tried dozens of recipes. Too dry, too icky, to cakey, to tasteless. I finally found one we really like a couple years ago. It's not the recipe you have linked, but those look good all the same. And even if I didn't care for the brownies, ANYTHING goes better under a nice layer of chocolate ganache-it would even be good on the aforementioned cheesecake if you bypassed the sour cream topping. ;-)

This is the brownie recipe we like.

Fudgy Brownies

1 1/3 cups butter or margarine -- softened
2 2/3 cups sugar
4 eggs
1 tablespoon vanilla extract
2 cups all-purpose flour
1 cup baking cocoa
1/2 teaspoon salt
Confectioners' sugar -- optional

In a mixing bowl, cream butter and sugar. Add eggs and vanilla; mix well. Combine flour, cocoa and salt; add to the creamed mixture and mix well. Spread into a greased 13-in. x 9-in. baking pan. Bake at 350' for 25-30 minutes or until the top is dry and the center is set. Cool completely. Dust with confectioners' sugar if desired.
