I am making homemade pizza tomorrow and I don't want to use jar pizza sauce, so I bought a can of Organic Peeled Tomatoes. Now I need a good recipe for the sauce. Anybody have one?

I use this one:

Pizza Sauce

* 1 (6 ounce) can tomato paste
* 1 1/2 cups water
* 2 tablespoons extra virgin olive oil
* 2 cloves garlic, minced
* 1/4 cup minced onion
* salt to taste
* ground black pepper to taste
* 1 teaspoon sugar
* 1/2 tablespoon dried oregano
* 1/2 tablespoon dried basil
* 1/2 teaspoon dried rosemary, crushed
* 1/4 cup dry red wine (optional)

DIRECTIONS

Saute onion in olive oil until translucent, add garlic and cook 1 min. longer. Add tomato paste, water, salt, pepper, and sugar. Stir over low heat until combined. Add remaining ingredients and continue to simmer until sauce is reduced until desired thickness.

What the previous poster said
Personally I just spread on some tomato sauce and sprinkle moderately with my all in one "Italian Seasoning".

Thanks Maggie, it came out very good. I omitted the rosemary, not a huge fan of that.
