A coworker brought a yummy little spread to our potluck yesterday. Cream cheese, cocktail sauce and imitation crab all mixed together, served on Keebler club crackers.
I like spinach dip with water chestnuts in it so it's crunchy, but I've never made it.
The recipe didn't state, but I'm assuming you shred it with 2 forks, or coarse grind it in food processor for a spreadable consistency.
I think I'd shred and then maybe chop a little with a knife so that it isn't so 'stringy-long' and hanging off of the crackers...(gosh, poor English, so I hope you know what I mean)..... the food processor might make it taste like that potted deviled meat.....can't remember what it is called.....we used to have it on sandwiches when I was a kid.....deviled meat? The cans were little and wrapped in white paper...
This is really starting to sound like a good dip.....not too time-consuming...

Plus, if you have any Thanksgiving turkey in the freezer, it can replace the cooked chicken.
I swear, Tnhoneypot and I have the same files. I have the same recipe except mine calls for some chopped celery!
I made this yesterday to take over to my parent's house last night. It was good. I did however doctor it up though with added chopped onions, green bell pepper. I just about burned up the motor on my food processor mixing it all together. It was really, really thick. In fact I had to add a lil milk. Everyone loved it though.
Always an empty bowl-softened 8 oz cream cheese and mix with 1/2 jat Harry & Davids Pepper relish.
I also use this and get compliments every time. Their pepper relish is the best.
