Here's a "recipe to try". I think I will make this and take over to my parents house on Christmas Eve. Sounds really good!

Cream Cheese Chicken Salad

1 lb. cooked chicken
2-8 oz. cream cheese
2 1/2 Tbsps. Hidden Valley Ranch salad dressing & seasoning mix
Tabasco sauce (dash or two)
3 Tbsps. chopped walnuts

Mix all ingredients and chill at least 2 hours. Serve with crackers.

Salmon Vegetable Dip
2 cups salmon, canned OR 2 cups leftover cooked salmon
8 ounces cream cheese -- softened
16 ounces sour cream (or combination sour cream and plain yogurt to total 2 cups)
1 package Knorr Vegetable Soup - dry mix
3 green onions -- chopped

Flake salmon and combine with remaining ingredients. Refrigerate several hours before serving. Serve with raw vegetables, crackers, chips, and bread.
Serving Ideas: hollowed-out round loaf of dark bread

The recipe didn't state, but I'm assuming you shred it with 2 forks, or coarse grind it in food processor for a spreadable consistency.

A coworker brought a yummy little spread to our potluck yesterday. Cream cheese, cocktail sauce and imitation crab all mixed together, served on Keebler club crackers.

I like spinach dip with water chestnuts in it so it's crunchy, but I've never made it.

I think I'd shred and then maybe chop a little with a knife so that it isn't so 'stringy-long' and hanging off of the crackers...(gosh, poor English, so I hope you know what I mean)..... the food processor might make it taste like that potted deviled meat.....can't remember what it is called.....we used to have it on sandwiches when I was a kid.....deviled meat? The cans were little and wrapped in white paper...

This is really starting to sound like a good dip.....not too time-consuming...

Plus, if you have any Thanksgiving turkey in the freezer, it can replace the cooked chicken.

I swear, Tnhoneypot and I have the same files. I have the same recipe except mine calls for some chopped celery!

I made this yesterday to take over to my parent's house last night. It was good. I did however doctor it up though with added chopped onions, green bell pepper. I just about burned up the motor on my food processor mixing it all together. It was really, really thick. In fact I had to add a lil milk. Everyone loved it though.

I also use this and get compliments every time. Their pepper relish is the best.
