This is just a simple recipe, but it's really good. It's a "snacky" type meal to have while you're watching a football game, or playing cards with friends, or even for an informal get-together.

Ingredients:

1 LG Block extra sharp cheddar cheese (grated)
2 cans refried beans
1 LG jar of Pace Picante Sauce
(Optional) Scallions, Peppers (any kind), & hot sauce
A few bags of your favorite tortilla chips

Place contents of 2 cans refried beans into a microwaveable bowl. Microwave on high for 3 minutes (covered).

Grate the block cheese with a cheese grater. Add the cheese to the warm refried beans, and stir.

Return to microwave and heat for 2 minutes on high (uncovered).

Add 3/4 of the jar of Picante Sauce, 2 tsp. of hot sauce, scallions (thinly diced), and peppers (thinly diced) to the cheese/bean mixture. Stir well.

Cover and return to microwave on high for 5 minutes. Stir after removing. Allow to cool for approx. 5 minutes.

Serve with your favorite Tortilla chips & Enjoy!
