Sometimes I just want to watch a movie with a girl when my other friends are unavailable. Would she assume that I like her? I'm single right now but I don't want a relationship... I don't want to confuse them.

No, most men have women friends too.

Then it should be a female friend in your social group whom you've known for a long time, who knows you see her as a sister or one of the guys, and not someone you just met. Someone you just met will assume you're interested in her.

Oh, and? Women are not your consolation prize for when your "other friends" are not around and you're bored.

Well, usually I hang out with guys so I don't have any close female friends. If they go out with me just as a friend then they must be bored too. So it's an even exchange.

If you don't know her and ask her out for a movie or coffee, she will assume you are interested in her. If you want to just be friends, and you tell her, she might not believe you. If you are not very handsome, you can ask somebody out and if she says yes, just don't let it lead to anything else, and she won't be disapointed too much since you're not that hot anyway. Just saying.

in the lack of a clearly defined "friendly" dynamic, yes, she will probably assume you're interested. it depends on the context.

I guess you could just tell her up front that your friends are busy and your really bored. Explain to her that your not interested in a relationship, but just looking for a female companion so you don`t have to go to the movies by yourself, then see if she is still interested.

Of course it depends on the situation but I did have some women coworker friends who I would go to movies with or lunch or whatever the case might be and it was just a friendship which I think is very common.
