Or they've lived together for 7 years and have a bunch of common stuff. She decides the clean out the attic one day and comes across some video tapes and wonders 'is there anything here I need to keep?' blows the dust off and pops one in the VCR

Everyone makes assumptions. But when you assume that your assumptions are correct you can get yourself into trouble

Who says I was snooping? Has it ever occured to you that the person couldn't been cleaning up or looking for something else and came across it?
