I notice a trend on this board whereby every man who asks a simple question is often labeled as lacking self-esteem with an accompanying finger wagging scold "Women don't like men lacking self-esteem."
The problem here is that he's asking a question that has an obvious answer. All men, even the shy ones, know that men are expected to make the first move. It may not be fair, but it's also nothing new. So for him to ask why his profile isn't getting replies suggests that he's waiting for women to contact him. That implies that he's not confident enough to contact them.
Does it mean I'm not attractive or is it just because girls don't contact guys online?
It depends. I've been in a similar situation. I think it mainly comes down to the type of environment online dating sites are in. Let's be honest, it's virtually a sausage fest....waaayyy too many dudes on these sites which translates into much more options for women, and of course, the hotter the woman, the more options she has = no incentive to reach out and contact men. Hell even an ugly duckling can get a few dozen emails a week so you're fighting an uphill battle from the jump. I would just send some crafty emails to chicks that interest you (aka send and pray, lol) and just work on your photos...esp your main photo because that's what the first thing women see when they browse the search results.

Women by nature are extremely picky. Otherwise the human race would have been history a long time ago. I know...sounds like another evolution/biology argument. I can tell you without even looking at your profile that you must stop looking like a loner in your profile. Your profile strength as to outweigh the captivating power of her beauty or she'll be convinced she's stepping down--women get that "I'm about to vomit" look on their face when they think they have a chimp nimbling at their heels.
