Still thinking of what to get him. Funny the shoe is on the other foot.
I have an idea for a unique gift. Although it is YOUR anniversary the children are a part of your life and they may be at the babysitters on the night you go out but a hand made gift from all in family is very heart warming. I am a big fan of creative gifts and my children love to take part. We made Daddy a T-shirt one year with their handprints and picture for Father's Day with The Worlds Greatest Daddy on it. This christmas we came up with the idea to make a gift for grandma who collects Nutcrackers and Native American items. So we painted over a standard nutcracker ann made her an indian nutcracker. My sister got the biggest kick out of a collage of pictures we made of her and I as children and combining the sister pictures of my two girls, silly faces and sisterly love. By the way you don't have to be a pro. I just cut the form of the person out and placed them all together like a jigsaw. The girls had fun picking out the pics. I had a friend who's boyfriend blindfolded her and told her to sit quitely while he took a drive. He stopped of at a secluded place with a magnificent view of the city, pulled out a folded table covered it with a cloth, lit candles surrounded by a glass vase cause the wind would have blown them out, set up the take out, and turned on Jazz. She said it was so romantic and she really doesn't like going out to dine......I have to come up with something too, for him, good luck !!
I love the T-shirt idea! My wife would love that from the kids. I'll have to think that through. Maybe handprints all over the shirt with I love you mommy, mommy I can't sleep, mommy I need a drink of water, mommy you're the greatest, mommy, he's being a pest, mommy she's touching me, mommy we love you, mommy you're the best mommy ever!
Love all the ideas, wow. I am sure you will have fun. CONGRATULATIONS! 10 years is a long time these days!
I did a t-shirt with footprints that says, "my kids walk all over me", he loved it.

The written word.....everyone loves letters. Express how these last 10 years have impacted you.
Or a 11 page scrapbook, one page for every year and the 11th page for the future. Include pockets with burnt CDs of music that you enjoyed with each other that particular year. On the 11th page, a pocket with a piece of jewelry hiding.
Or a digital slide show to music. For some reason, I am feeling a future business here, ha!
The most romantic thing I remember my husband doing for me was arranging for a babysitter, then taking me out to a nice dinner....and when we were through, and left, he drove in the opposite direction of the house. He had rented us a beautiful suite with a jacuzzi for the night and I had no idea. He had already been to the hotel and had music playing in the room, drinks cooling, the hot tub was fired up....now that I'm thinking of it, we need to go back there! We had a great time and I'll never forget it.
Hoosier, it sounds like you'll make her day, regardless of what you finally decide to do. Be sure and let us know how it turns out.
Nothing... thats right! How could I forget.... LOL
Oh Hoos... do something together that you love.... maybe something that is from your early years that you just have not been able to do, but would really like to.
