Like other ladies here have pointed out, we need to know what to wear.

Men can throw on a crumpled pair of khakis, a short sleeved shirt, black shoes, and be ready for anything life throws at them. For women, it's just not that simple.

If you want to keep it a surprise and you don't want to tell her your plan, at least tell her how to dress "Put on your pearls and strappy heels, we're painting the town red" or "Put on your Teva's and don't forget the Bug Repellent".

Nonetheless, is this in any way a dangerous sign? Or am I just overreacting?
Oh my gosh. Why on earth would you take that as a dangerous sign? Very normal question...I would ask as well!! People want to know what to wear!!!

She wants to know if the place you are taking her is fun, dumb, crappy, nice, taking her to mom's, is far or close, will be out late, can brag to friends where she is going, what to wear, hair up or down, need sunscreen, need bucks for a awesome outfit, check out the food if it's yucky or yummy, if it's expensive why are you doing it? Many ??? Soooo little time.

I had an awesome time with the lady last night and the next date has already been agreed upon. Those of you who said she was probably asking because she needed to know what to wear - you were dead-on. She herself explained, because she wanted to know what kind of a venue we were going to eat at, and wanted to dress accordingly.

Thanks to you who gave calm and reasoned advice (women need to know what to wear) ... you know who you are.

We sure do - ALL of us! There is rarely a consensus here on too many topics.

Would've been interesting to know if she'd go out with you again had she seen this thread, though.

Have a nice day.
