OP, rather than come up with an idea of something to do, ask him to decide on something. But tell him that you will not balk, not get angry, not yell or complain or anything else, that the only stipulation is that you both must get out of the house.
Some guys are hermits, some guys would like to do something but may not want to voice it if they think they're going to hear it for a while.
How long have you been married? Do you remember what the two of you used to do for fun during your courtship days? And what did he enjoy doing as a kid? He must have been fun to be with once...
I swear it seems my husband doesn't like to do anything If I suggest an activity he either refuses to do it or goes along and does it then complains. I usually feel tense and nervous because I'm just waiting for him to start complaining about what is "pissing" him off. Last night there was a person coughing behind him which I agree can be annoying, but, there is always something Should I just stop including him in anything or what
I don't know your situation but my husband can be socially anxious and this is made worse by his work situation. When he is stressed at work he doesn't want to do ANYTHING and this often leaves me either doing nothing or finding other people to hang out with. Is this a temporary thing? Has he been really stressed at work and just been wanting to go home and decompress? Was he like this when you first started dating or got married? Maybe he is depressed....
Well anyway we went out tonight with a group of four people and that tends to be good to have at least four to six people in the group. I think he needs to get out and talk to other people and so do I. Clearly he just isn't as comfy in social situations as myself for some reason, but, he likes to gab with others, but, usually he forgets what everybody says and I have to explain who said what and organize everything which is actually ok as long as he keeps a decent outlook. We had a great dinner and went to a local strip club where the girls were really great! Our friends husband got his wife a lap dance that she enjoyed very much. I didn't want to spend $40 on a lap dance....I will save it for shoes
