It's my choice to disclose my personal information if need be. Like I said before, I think talking about kids and ex husbands/wives, crazy exes, fetishes etc. are not bar conversation material. I consider that white trash... And that's my humble opinion. You see things differently and that is great for you - but not neccessarily for me. Sorry!

Come on, socializing at the bar with friends isnt AA. What are you susposed to do, stand up and say "hello, my name is ________ and Im a single mother." Just because someone dosent constantly blabber about their kids to essentially strangers dosent mean they are ashamed of them.

That's where your wrong. I was 19 and on birth control when I got pregnant. I come from a well to-do background so the "problem" as you say could have been "fixed." I, however, opted for the high and not-so-easy road and it's molded me into a person I can be proud of.
You know, as a guy, I really wouldn't be bothered by something like this. I can understand not wanting to reveal a detail such as this too soon. A lot of us have baggage. I'd rather not let that stand in the way of a potential relationship.
