I just read this somewhere and decided to share it.

If you need advice in the love realm, ask a friend who has success in the love realm. The people who are most eager to give advice about love are often the people who have the least success with it. No one knows why.

OK, I don't really try to give too much advice anyway, but I think I'm officially giving up mumbling even a word of it! Come to think of it, many of the advisors who do it for a living have pretty damn messy lives themselves... At least I have some shame!

Hmm. Perhaps, but most of us learn more from failure than from success, and those who have achieved success may not know how to replicate it.

I think the people best equipped to offer wisdom are those who have made mistakes, learned from them, and used what they learned to create success for themselves.

The Dave Ramsey guy on the radio I agree with quite a lot. His philosophy on money is the similar "Never take financial advice from a broke person".

That's what many on here are doing. Anytime a guys says... I've been married 6 times and let me tell you about women. It's time to move on.

Yeah, I still think there's a strong element of luck in the success stories...

Ha-ha, I thought the title might sound like something unheard of around here. Sorry to disappoint ya - I tend to contemplate my own messes on my own. No, there's no question really – just random musings…

Hmm, there aren't that many people on this forum qualified to give any advice... We'll have to shut it down.
