JJ, that's a great story. This is a great thread showing how our loves came into our lives. Really goes to show when you expect it the least, there it is.
Your husband was wise to continue the contact, sounds like it was truly meant to be.
He's a very lucky guy and I'm sure you provide him many happy memories
Thanks, Rakin. He gets home from Florida this evening. I can't wait.
There is an old joke about the soldier coming home from war. He wrote his wife that she better meet him at the airport with a mattress strapped to her back. She wrote back that she would but he better be the 1st one off the plane.

LMAO Sounds like that other joke where the dude was laying the law to his new bride talking about his outings with his buddies, etc., and she told him she's fine with everything, but she has one little rule of her own: there WILL be sex in the house at 7, whether he's home or not!
The story of how I met my wife and how we ended up married would take up more space than anyone would ever care to read about, but I can tell you all that we met in college while we were working in Florida. We remained friends for quite a while, then one day, out of the blue she asked me to her sorority formal--just as a buddy of course . Our relationship very slowly took off from there and we've now been married for 14 years. I can honestly tell you that I have been very content and blessed in our marriage emotionally, physically, spiritually, and whatever other "...ally" you can come up with.
The spouse and I (not married, but together for 10 years and co-habitating for six) met on the internet, at a message board for fans of a rock band, of all things. We soon discovered we had more in common than just music. One problem: We lived 500 miles apart. After a lot of teeth-gnashing, role-playing and compromising, I sold my house and found a new job where he lived. No relationship is a bed of roses, but we're both madly in love and couldn't imagine our lives any other way than they are right now.
Well, I guess I could imagine winning the lottery ...
