CHICAGO, Aug. 18 (UPI) -- Married people have better health than singles but U.S. researchers say those in a committed, romantic relationship have the same stress reducing effect.

Lead author Dario Maestripieri, a professor at the University of Chicago, and colleagues at the University of Chicago and Northwestern University, studied 500 master's degree students -- 348 men and 153 women with a mean age of 27 -- at the University of Chicago Booth School of Business.
