So I have a stuffed bear that I'm thinking about hanging on the wall in my bedroom, above my bed. It looks similar to the photo below, a bit smaller.
Ladies, what would you think if you saw this in my bedroom? Or rather, another man's bedroom? Is this a turn off? How does this color your opinion compared to original watercolor paintings, or original abstract oils?
Assume that the bear is properly stabilized on the wall above the bed, and will probably not fall on you.
Um, no, not in the bedroom. If it's a hobby of some sort, it wouldn't bother me to see it in the man cave, game room, hobby room, garage. Same for dogs playing poker.
God, when my ex and I were looking at houses, we saw one that was a total shrine to U of A! I mean, the whole darn house, down to every bathroom! There was also a pool table in the living room. I'd imagine it was owned either by a single guy or a couple of gays. No way a woman would ever live there!
I have a few unusual items in my house that would probably turn off many women. That would include a mounted scorpion in a glass case that I got in Malaysia (they have the biggest scorpions in the world), a mounted piranha, a preserved sharks mouth with all the teeth, a fox pelt, a sheep skin rug from Australia (my sister got me that one), a glass case of mounted butterflies I got in Panama, and a bunch of other weird stuff. I just liked them because they were unique and reminded me of places I've been but they do seem like things that only a guy would get.
Did you kill the bear with your bare hands? If not, it won't have the same "macho" effect for us!
