I was reading a thread concerning how men behave in certain areas. I was wondering, what percentage of women really like when they get whistled at by men.
I personally would never do it because I think it is disrespectful, but that is my personal opinion.
I hate that men do that and when they do it to me it makes me feel dirty and like a piece of meat with allll eyes on me.......
It is disrespectful, annoying and I don't think ANY women likes that at all!!!!!!!!!!!!
It depends. It's happened and made me smile, and it's happened and made me feel like a piece of meat.
Agreed. Sometimes it's aggressive and unnerving, sometimes it's a compliment. My most memorable experience was getting whistled at by a construction site in Philly. I was there for a conference, and it was December and had just snowed, so I was wearing a parka and a hat and big clompy snow boots.
I personally don't like cat calls, especially when they're done by men who hang in packs; like on some scaffolding or hanging out their car window while cruising.
Same here. If I see a group of guys up ahead that look like they might whistle or say something I will usually cross the road. Seriously it makes me that uncomfortable.
There is however this one group of men who leer at me every morning. They don't say anything, they just stare. Damn it's a turn on LOL.
Ok , so a low level whoot woo whistle and smile from a single man isn't good? So how would you would rather them tell you that you've caught their attention ? Please tell so all us guys know.

I never said anything about a smile. Smiles I can most definitely deal with. I love being smiled at.
It’s when they’re in a group and they start calling out things like “hey baby”, “hey s3xy”, “hey come here I just wanna talk”. Harassing, pigheaded stuff.

I like when men whistle at me. I just don't want them following me.
