I'm curious as to how the 2 guys who walked out, appeared as compared to their photos? Did they look the same?
I assume this was a "Blind date" scenario then, correct?
For some reason I think some stink comes from this screen name.... It's awfully similar to a string of others we've seen before (that brainy intellectual who likes to ask "tough" questions, etc. ).
Not to mention Weekend Traveller, email_lover, TheOutcast etc etc ad nauseum
What woman in her right mind in THIS day and age would have a guy she hasn't even MET come to her house for a "first date" after meeting online?
I was thinking either the 8 cats or 4 screaming kids (or both) plus the drive down the dirt road that led to the 35 year old trailer home that has tires holding down the roof.
Did you put your teeth in when you greeted them at the door ?
Well if it happened twice then something is up. As other poster's have suggested what does you house look like?
And aside from the obvious , of having two strangers coming over to your house... I guess I find it kinda odd that you were cooking meals for a first date. May I ask how old you are?
Did they know you were cooking dinner? Did you go all out like with candles and stuff?
They walked in, smelled the salmon (or the perfume, or the potpourri, or the sour sponge in the sink, or...), heard a voice or accent that grated on their ears, saw there were no good stereo components or jewelry left out in plain sight, and determined there was nothing there worth taking.
Harsh, but there it is. You're setting yourself up to be ripped off or raped. Use common sense and meet your dates in public.
A few years ago a woman was shot in her home by someone who she met online. Meet in public.
