On Facebook (FB) I have found someone and would really want to meet her. The only problem is that 2313.08 miles separates us. And my fear is that I'll "loose" her to someone else, which I don't want happening. She's also a perfect match.

What should I do and/or what should I tell her?

Thanks.

If you can see yourself living in that city without her and you're up for an adventure, i'd say meet up with her and see how it works out, if she hesitates about you moving there and getting a place,

then move on.

I'm genuinely curious--how do you meet someone on facebook? Do you just search for common interests?

You dont have her so you cant loser her. You can go for it but 2k miles is a long way. There has to be someone else closer to you that you are interested in.

Thanks.

With flights so cheap (Southwest) I just might do that.

Just checked the Airlines.
AirTran is out of it's mind. You mean I need to stop in Atlanta for a flight to LA? No matter where your going, your gonna have to stop in Atlanta with AirTran. One more reason to fly Southwest.

Im curious as well. Facebook is NOT a place to meet people. I just isnt possible unless you are introduced by a mutual friend.

There is something fishy about this.

A year ago, before me and the guy became a couple, I was on FB and joined a group asking for more friends on my list since I was a "newcomer" in the site. He sends me a friend's request, note that at that time, I was at NC and he was in WI so distance was irrelevant to him: He still pursued me. We chatted for about 2 weeks, I fell in love as soon as he called me, HE bought tickets and flew to meet me and my family and rest is history.

That's just my story. It's not guaranteed to work for you.

Calm down. You cannot possibly know she is a "perfect match" unless or until you meet her in person. In addition, she is not a "perfect match" unless or until SHE also feels that way about you once you meet.

Continue getting to know her over a long period of time, say at least a year. If after that much time the interest is still there on both sides, THEN spend the money to buy a plane ticket to meet.

Sorry for double posting, but....

Well, her I found after watching a Gaming show. I know it's her because of the way her messages are typed, and that when she goes to gaming events she posts that shes going. I also searched for her name on FB, and only two accounts under her name. [one for her gamer tag and her personal account] Both accounts have the same information.

That is VERY CREEPY. You never met her, dont have any mutual friends, and you just typed her name into Facebook after seeing her on a TV show, now you want to fly to meet her? Super creepy dude. Not cool.

Who is this chick someone fro G4TV? Olivia Munn? Lala Kaleigh?
