I tell my husband I love him everyday - many times everyday. I also tell my dog I love her many times everyday. And I tell my mom and some of my friends that I love them every time I talk to them.

If I could get back together with him, I would in less than 1 second. He's the only man I've ever truly loved and the only man I would ever have a child with. When I do speak with him, he tells me I'm the love of his life and best sex he's ever had. But shyt happens and sometimes life doesn't go the way you want it to.
I still believe that someday we will be together again
He tells me every day. Several times a day. And I tell him too.
Once I told him, "You tell me I love you too much. Do you really mean it?" He said, "I'm going to tell you I love you every day of your life as often as I can."
And after 5 years, he hasn't missed a day.

Sh*t happens but we can learn from those things and move on. It sounds as if both of you left that behind since the communication seems good. Bad thing would be if you both couldn't even stand seeing each other so, why wait for "someday" and at least meet at the bar for a drink, at the mall for a walk, or whatever activity doesn't seem too compromising and then see how things go from there.
