I always feel bad for these girls with wonderful bodies but horrably ugly faces. I would hate to be doomed to doggy style and reverse cowgirl for the rest of my life!!

Probably true for a quickie and/or one-night-stand when you're younger. Women are just as guilty regardless of what this study says.
Its not like most college age kids are out looking for a life partner. A POA for them will do just fine for now. Once the hormones calm down a bit, both sexes begin using the correct organ to help guide them toward a proper mate.
You would think that since women KNOW that men are mostly attracted to nice bodies, that they would spend the time taking care of themselves by eating right, exercising, and going to the gym instead of living like lazy sloths sitting around all day drinking soda, getting fat, and complaining that "life just isnt fair".

Exactly.....besides life is much more fun in a number of ways when you are in decent shape.
Its funny, the way I look at it your body and mind is the most important thing you own, forget anything material. Yet why so many people don't look after it, makes no sense to me.

However, this was a very small preliminary study and the results need to be confirmed in a larger, better study before any conclusions can truly be made.
An important note about these studies is that while they're fun to read, if you delve into their methodology it is usually revealed to be so terrible that the results are meaningless. I've seen studies with sensational headlines on MSN that said "all women do this!" and the sample was 22 college age girls from a single northwestern university. That is barely better than a story from a guy at a bar as samples go.
Eh...I seem to remember reading studies from years ago that basically said anything after waist to hip ratio had little effect on a woman's perceived attractiveness. Obviously, if some one is downright hideous in the face it doesn't matter if they have Jessica Alba's body but for everyone who has a big nose, less than perfect skin or something else I'd say this probably holds true.
People often point out "But fat people can diet! Ugly people can't fix it!" Yes, they can. But they don't and didn't so here we are. Lets face it...it's actually pretty rare that a really fat person is ever going to lose that weight. I read a study the other day that said 80% of men and 90% of women that were obese as children remained obese adults. People who put on a few pounds often fix it...but almost everyone generally tends to get fatter with age. And once you get really fat it seems so hard to fix you just give up.
Anyway, maybe that speaks to the difference in the fling/relationship if that has anything to do with it. Whether its a logically sound choice or not, the men may think the fat girl with a pretty face is a project and she'll lose the weight and be super hot. But the fling looks best right now.
Or people just get tired of looking at your ugly face every day!
I have to agree. This seems to have been a phenomenon for at least a good while now. I have to admit that, while I like the complete package in a guy, I'd choose a good body over a good face if I could only pick one.
No thanks. I wouldn't want to be with a man who literally looks like a troll even if he has 6 pack abs.
