I think it's great for a guy to be into a variety of magazines. For me, I love sports so magazines like Sports Illustrated are great, but I would also like my guy to be up to date on current events and to have at least one magazine that is on the 'intelligent' side (like The Economist).

my girlfriend better like me reading Incredible Hulk, and be prepared to have deep intellectual conversations about the underpinnings of the storyline!

and for the most part my ex's loved magazines, i would steal cosmo and replace it with car and driver, she would hide popular mechanics and replace it with mens health (hmmm maybe thats where it all went horribly horribly wrong...)

Car and Driver AND Popular Mechanics...as a car buff, those are two magazines I would love for a potential significant other to read!
