They're as concerned about a man's personal life as they are about the weather and traffic. Unless she's a meteorologist or pilots a traffic chopper, it's called "small talk".

You could've arrived at that conclusion in 10 seconds, fast enough to venture it as a reply to her query...orrrr you could be you, and come to that conclusion after hashing it out on a 12 page thread online over 5 days.
