Evidently, living in six does.

Oh pfftt. I have seen more welfare losers in my lifetime than most people will ever see in theirs.

So sue me if I hate a socialist tax-payer-sucking mentality. If you take people's motivation for independence away, they will forever be reliant on the government. And Big Brother likes it like that.

I hate welfare, it's disgusting. Save it for those who are truly worthy, the elderly, the mentally impaired, the truly vulnerable in society.

And with that, derbrain aka Your.Decision goes to ignore, where all snarks belong.

Welfare losers? Wow....you are one sick individual. I pray that you never fall on hard times and have to ask for help. People like you seem to think that they're invincible, but it could happen to you. Honestly, I think soulless people like you devoid of compassion are the real losers in life. There's a special place reserved for people like you. Free guesses as to where it is (p.s. I'm sure NZ is glad to be rid of you). Djuna is obviously the kind of person who thinks that he/she/it can dish it out, but cannot take the heat. Get out of the kitchen Djuna...let the grownups have their say

p.s. remove the word "Human" - because you are certainly *not* human.

Yep, the entitlement mentality is alive and well isn't it - even on these threads where pathetic loser types whine all day about how it's everyone else's fault that life is not the way they think it should be .

No one is advocating denying help for the truly vulnerable, like you said.

But we have done some people no favors by making them welfare dependent for generation after generation, after generation.

And sadly they are too uneducated to know just how much worse off they'd be in a socialist or communist country. In reality they should be thanking their lucky stars there were born in a capitalist country.

True... money is king in BOTH types of markets... it doesn't matter... TRUE Capitalism you earn your money whereas in socialism, you steal that money from your neighbor... unfortunately, true capitalism exists only in "pockets" of a country with Corporatism dominating the remainder...

If this is true, then relationships and love have been messed up for a very long time.

Not always. But you do need to bring something to the table. I recall the phrase I saw on the bumper of a VW bug: "Ass, grass, or cash...nobody rides for free..."

How would you 'phase-out' Capitalism? Anyway - no.

None of you who agree with the OP (that capitalism has corrupted love) have argued the original claim. All I've heard are:
- Denmark is super
- Little kids are honest and kind, before they get a whiff of money
- Money problems make people unhappy

I can agree with the third point, and Denmark is great in its own way, but a few people have asked questions such as:
- What non-capitalist nation demonstrates uncorrupted love?
- How does capitalism affect love more than any other system of economy?

As Redisca pointed out, Denmark's divorce rates rival the U.S.'s, and communism seems to make people more materialistic, not less, due to the unavailability of material goods.

So far, your premise is pretty threadbare.
