Same here! I go out all the time with my girlfriends who are all in relationships.
We’re not out there to pick up guys, we just want a girl’s night out!
Now of course if guys want to purchase drinks with the hope they will be getting some who am i to stop them . I think it's mostly guys assuming women are at the club for the same thing as them that started this idea in their head.
When I was single I never went out of my way to look for men. Never had to. And I had the odds stacked against me: I was a single mom of two and I lived in a rural area.
Other (usually older) women would ask me "How do you ever expect to find a man?" which I always thought was a weird, backwards question. It wasn't my job to find a man, it was their job to find me! And they did.

If you like to dress up, that's your prerogative, but I don't believe that women only go out to meet men.
This is what I just COULDN’T make him see! I think he is one of these guys who think women do things only for men.
Last week I told him I wanted a pair of those booty pop underwear (I am very tiny and have flatness in the rear, ok?! lol ) and he said “who are you trying to impress?” immediately assuming I was doing it for someone else rather than for myself.

Deep deep down I think everything we do is for other people. That goes for anybody.
If you were the last person on earth, or lived among monkeys, would you REALLY care how beautiful you looked? Think about it...
But I do get your point. He sounds rather self-absorbed.
I guess he must only go out to meet women--when he's out without you. I don't go out to meet women--if I go out at all, I go out by myself, to have a little fun. I like singing karaoke and playing pool or darts or the trivia game.
In fact, I've brought books to the bar with me so I can sit and read or work puzzles while I'm sitting there.

Well, I don't know. I’d still want to feel good. That doesn’t mean I still don’t do it for myself. It’s all about looking good = feeling good!
I wear makeup every single day, even out for casual shopping on weekends, because it makes me feel prettier and more confident.
