I'm guessing that deciding which block of Lavalife time to buy must have been completely mentally draining. Do you suppose that sort of expenditure goes on the "dating emergency" credit card or the regular household account?

The chance of success on those huge ones like plenty of fish or even match.com are alot less because of the sheer number of people. You're better off with a smaller site, even a free one. The few dates I've been on (which didn't lead to anything) were largely from this one small site that had the fraction of the number of members as the big ones.
Actually, if you are a NORMAL person, that actually has social skills and is able to COMMUNICATE with the opposite sex without jumping onto a forum and asking a question about EVERY SINGLE COMMENT that someone makes, then your chances are not too bad.
